There are so many reasons I could tell you why I love New York City so much but of course with every city there are always pros and cons. I have to admit I absolutely detest the brutal winters here and this past winter was no exception—it was horrendous! Luckily, spring has arrived and as we're getting ready to shed off the winter weight for bikini season we must not forget to update our spring beauty regime! You can first start off by exfoliating and sloughing off the dead skin cells that have been accumulating throughout the winter if you haven't been up to par with the exfoliating! By exfoliating, your skin will look more clear, smooth, and radiant. Not to mention your skin-care treatments will absorb better. So below are my favorite beauty picks at the moment for this spring season!
Eve Lom Radiance Perfected Tinted Moisturizer Spf 15
My skin is very sensitive and I'm really apprehensive of the products I use on my face. But this is my go-to product at the moment and quite possibly forever until I find something new to capture my fancy! I love how this tinted moisturizer feels super light weight on my skin which is perfect for this warmer spring season. It gives me just enough coverage to help even out my skin tone without making me feel like I'm actually wearing any makeup! The result is a soft, radiant, and fresh-faced finish. It has UVA/UVB and antioxidant protection and vitamins C and E to protect and nourish my skin. Also, it helps lighten pigmentation and spots.
Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette
For the warmer season I like my makeup clean, light, and fresh. This palette is beautiful because I love the versatility of the neutral shades which makes it perfect for the daytime or evening. I'm honestly not a big fan of sparkles and I love how matte this palette is. This is the perfect palette for any woman to have in her cosmetics wardrobe!
Giorgio Armani Cheek Fabric
I've always been a fan of this brand and I swear by their foundations. Nowadays, if I'm not wearing the Eve Lom tinted moisturizer, I'm wearing Giorgio Armani Face Fabric. As much as I love the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk I've skipped out on wearing full coverage foundation completely. This blush is actually one of their newer additions to the family. Since virtually all items from the line have gone through packaging and formula changes over the past few years, I knew the blushes and bronzers would eventually change too. I love the variety of colors of the Cheek Fabric compared to their Sheer Blush. I love how natural and sheer it is on my cheeks. If you prefer, you may apply a little on the parts of the face where the sun would hit, such as your nose, forehead, chin, as well as cheeks for a subtle glow and color on your complexion.
Dior Addict Lip Glow
With the warmer season, I know we'll be spending more time outdoors and frolicking out in the sun. But I do hope you'll remember to be more conscious about wearing sun protection--not just for your skin but lips as well. I love how this sheer balm will keep you protected with SPF 10, while the hydrating mango butter and loofah extract nourishes your lips! Since I'm all about going au naturel for the spring, I love how this lip balm enhances your natural lip color with a special shade that will last all day.
Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion Spf 50
This is my absolute favorite sun care protection product. A little goes a long way with this one; a little dime-sized amount is more than enough for my face or you could use it on the body. It's ultra light weight and almost liquid-like which makes dispersing over the entire face easy and effortless. From my experience, sun protection in the past has left my skin feeling heavy and greasy but I love how easily this product absorbs and leaves a soft matte finish on my skin. You don't even feel this sun protection on your face which makes it great to wear underneath your makeup or alone.
Sk-II Facial Treatment Essence
During the warmer season I can get away without using a rich moisturizer and this is my favorite product to help hydrate my skin as well as to balance my skin's pH. This is great for me to use during the day right before I apply my sun protection or tinted moisturizer because I do skip the regular moisturizer. I just feel that step is unnecessary for me. I try to keep my regime as simple as possible and I know everyone's skin is different but for my complexion I keep it simple to help avoid the feeling of products piling on top of my face.
Chantecaille Compact Soleil Bronzer
For the warmer season I do like to look a little more bronze. Since I don't believe in excessive tanning I do like to fake my tan with bronzer. Naturally I am very fair-skinned and the wrong kind of bronzer will make me look muddy so I am very particular on the type of bronzers I use on my face. I am a huge fan of Chantecaille products and this bronzer certainly lives up to its expectations! I love the silky texture of this powdered bronzer and I love how naturally it blends onto my complexion. It adds just enough touch of warmth onto my complexion giving me the perfect sun-kissed look without looking muddy or orange.
